Rhassoul clay can be used in several ways to provide oily hair with the most suitable care.

First of all, as a hair mask to reduce the production of sebum and to deeply purify the hair. To prepare a hair mask based on rhassoul clay, mix a sufficient amount of powdered clay with water until you get a smooth paste. Then apply the mask to your hair by gently massaging your scalp. Leave on for about 10 to 15 minutes before rinsing thoroughly with warm water.

This natural clay can also be used as a washing base, instead of “traditional” shampoo. This is called “no-poo”.

Here’s how:

  • Use ready-to-use ghassoul clay or prepare the rhassoul paste yourself: in a plastic or glass container, mix the ghassoul powder with warm water until you get a smooth and homogeneous paste.
  • Apply the rhassoul paste on dry or wet hair starting at the roots and gradually working your way up to the ends. Avoid rubbing the hair vigorously, as this can damage it.
  • Let the clay sit on the hair for 5 to 10 minutes.
  • Rinse the hair thoroughly with warm water until all the rhassoul paste is removed. You can also use conditioner if necessary to detangle the hair and make it softer.
  • Air dry your hair or with a hair dryer at low temperature.

It is important to note that rhassoul does not produce foam like traditional shampoos, so it is normal for hair not to foam when applying no-poo. Rhassoul can be used once a week to gently clean hair and regulate sebum production.

Finally, rhassoul can be used as a dry shampoo to absorb excess sebum and refresh hair between washes. To do this, simply apply a small amount of rhassoul powder to the hair roots and massage gently to penetrate the powder. Then just brush the hair to remove excess powder and get clean and fresh hair.

As you can see, green clay and ghassoul are 100% natural allies to take care of oily hair. Their use is practical, without superfluous and allows to find a more flexible and light hair in a jiffy.
